About Me
I am a former maths teacher and carer who was recently surprised into motherhood. It's been quite the experience to witness the very beginning of a life, since my students were older children and adults..!
My firstborn is now nearly fourteen months old, sweet-natured, easy going, loves outings, being tickled, and music and signing in the style of her beloved Emma Wiggle. She has a dual heritage that her father and I want to pass on to her (Polish and Indian) though as yet we're not clear on how to raise a very young child bilingually or multilingually, so if this is something you've experience in, it's a definite plus. And both her father and I are keen on giving her as enriched a learning environment as possible. (Montessorians are therefore especially welcome, though not demanded.)
My Requirements
I'm looking for medium term childcare in the first instance. My daughter has a little sister due in mid July (the sonographers gave the 21st as the due date) and I will need somebody to take care of her when the time comes to give birth. Which is likely to take at least a week in hospital, since I am likely to be recommended another C-section.
I would also like my daughter to get to know the person during the months in between.
If all goes well, I'll be grateful for help up to, including and just after giving birth. If it goes REALLY well, I'd like to keep the person longer term, for both daughters.
Hours and environment to be worked out, especially as advancing pregnancy has changed my working patterns.
I'd prefer you to come to our home but it's not a must every time if your environment is comfortable, clean and loving. And I will appreciate your patience with lots of silly, new-mum questions from me..!
