I’m Nia , 30.
I’m kind, loving and really enjoy looking after children. I grew up quite locally in Primrose Hill but moved to Dartmouth park a year or so ago. V outdoorsy so pleased to have moved to such a lush area. So much nature to explore and fun to be had with a small companion/s!
I create a secure, fun and stimulating environment where the kid/s can thrive. I had nanny’s and au pairs growing up so I know how important nurturing this relationship is and I aim to be a care giver they can trust and build a lovely relationship with.
I'm happy managing routines, supporting developmental milestones, preparing nutritious meals, and keeping the environment calm (as much as possible!) organised and just fun really.
I worked part-time at a nursery in Primrose Hill a few years ago so based nannying around that. I then left that position and transitioned to more of a full time nanny role as I’d previously done. As it stands, I’m looking for a part time role but can be flexible with days etc.
I can provide a loving, safe and fun environment. I have a senior dog who’s the light of my life so any pets are a plus! X
My Experience
I was with a family for two years looking after 4 and 8 year old girls, who I grew very fond. After that position, I took on sole charge of a 3 year old girl for a few years and most recently, a 2 year old boy. I developed wonderful relationships with all of these children.
I worked in a preschool/nursery in Primrose Hill looking after 2-5 year olds and was doing cover work there for many years before that. It was there I obtained my paediatric first aid qualification. I learnt so much about these important developmental years in particular (the ways they learn, understanding emotions etc) Can provide more info/ references on request! :)
I have 3 siblings below the age of 9 that are hilarious and I adore. They live in rural Wales now so I don’t get to see them as much as I would like, but they are the light of my life and I think it was them that first sparked my interest in early years development.
I’m also an orange belt in kickboxing so fear not, your children will be safe with me! Ha.
