My Requirements
We’re a friendly family based in Widford (between Ware & Bishop’s Stortford) looking for a kind, experienced part-time nanny or babysitter to support us with our 6-year-old autistic son and a newborn baby (due any day now!). Both parents work from home, and we’d love someone who can gently fit into our routine and offer calm, consistent support in the afternoons and evenings.
Days & Hours:
Tues, Wed & Thurs: 3pm–8:30pm
Optional baby-focused shift on Fridays: 9am–12pm
(16.5–19.5 hrs/week total)
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has 5+ years of professional childcare experience
• Has experience with autism/ASD
• Holds a UK driving licence & has their own car (for school pick-ups & swimming)
• Is DBS checked & paediatric first aid trained (or willing to complete it — we’re happy to cover the cost)
• Is warm, calm, and reliable with a genuine love for children
Role includes:
• School/activity pick-ups
• After-school play, dinner, and bedtime support for Max (7:30–8pm bedtime)
• Occasional baby care (feeding, settling, cuddles)
• Light household help (toys, laundry)
We’re looking for someone long-term who wants to grow with us — and we’re happy to support training and development for the right candidate.
