Hello, I'm a Palestinian first-time mother to a Palestinian/Indian/British 20 - month old boy and I currently work as a translator from home. I live in Nunhead on the edge of Peckham and East Dulwich.
My Requirements
My husband and I are looking for a part-time nanny or babysitters for 5 - 6 hours a day, 5 days per week for our 20 - month old son. We would need someone that can start at 8.30AM, as we need to be at work from 9 sharp.
We are looking for someone who is:
-DBS checked.
-directly experienced in childcare of infants and toddlers and can provide references that we can contact.
-reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
-gentle, responsive and patient and has childcare values that align with ours.
-has a positive approach to managing behavior and feelings.
-can plan stimulating activities and spend time outdoors.
-can provide support with baby's separation anxiety.
Preferable but not required:
-Ofsted registered.
-Familiar with Montessori education and inspiring creative play
-Someone who speaks Arabic or Malayalam. Other languages always welcome.
-Willing to do some light housekeeping if baby's sleeping - picking up toys, washing baby's dishes etc.
We are open to nanny share arrangements if the other family are reasonably close by and the children are of a similar age.
Note: we are a vegetarian household and have a cat.
