About Me
Hi, I’m an OFSTED Registered Childminder based in Ossett, West Yorkshire. Our welcoming detached home is conveniently situated for all public transport routes and easy access to motorway links.
I offer quality, flexible childcare for children aged 6 months to 11 years, following the EYFS statutory framework to enable children to learn through play with a strong focus on child mental health and by offering an enabling environment for all children.
Full and part-time places are available. Serving local schools and nurseries to provide wrap around care. Our homely setting is safe, welcoming and inviting with an array of educational toys and resources to support each child’s learning journey. We have lots of secure outdoor space to enjoy both indoor & outdoor play, to let our children explore the natural world, learn about the wildlife and grow our own produce.
All parents have access to our online learning journal with safe, secure access for their individual child. Our weekly outings incorporate visits to toddler groups, soft play, parks, community farm, museums, & our local market.
Free funded childcare places now available, 15/30 hours per week for children 9 months- 4 years. Holiday club places and Term time only places are also available. Ad-hoc care available. Please enquire for latest vacancies - new early years vacancies and wrap around care available!
My Experience
Approaching 15 years as a community OFSTED Registered Childminder. 25 Years as a parent, and 8 years as a fur baby parent.. Combined, a wealth of caring experience, an excellent knowledge of child development and extensive up-to-date training resume with the sense of humour to survive!

My daughter first started going to Clare’s when she was around 9 months old after we have had a few bad experiences at nursery! although she struggled to settle in at first (as she had rarely spent any time away from me) and i struggled with leaving her Clare would keep me updated with messages and photos and constantly reassured me. Once my little girl settled in she loved going and i felt confident leaving her. My daughter came on so much while there, specially with getting on with other kids, talking, activities and sharing things with other kids!
All the children play lovely together and its a really nice family environment and a nice garden to play in.
I would definitely recommend Clare! Also to be noted Clare’s nursery area is so tidy and spotless!
