Inspiring, nurturing environment

My 3 year old runs excitedly and happily to St James Preschool every day. The range of activities and experiences are incredible
As well as nurturing independence and friendships between the children . The wonderful sense of community for the children and the parents shows what a kind environment they have. They have a beautiful garden, large indoor hall and wonderful preschool area with a free flow system. I'm excited for my 1.5 year old to join next year.

It is a joy, for our team to support the children in our community to learn through play. It is a huge reward to see their motivation and enthusiasm as they access loose parts and blocks for building or access other resources, confidently. Stories come to life as we use props. Literacy, science, math's, gardening, and physical activity is happening all the time. The most important thing is the friendships and the social connection that is made between child, parents and our experienced staff.
The progress and the development of your child is apparent as children move onto reception prepared for their next stage of learning.
Families, stay with us for many years and we too are excited to meet your next sibling too.
We love it when "A" comes in and wants to build the huge jeep and go to Africa, or access our wonderful selection of books, enjoying the intimacy and stories. All the other learning falls into place, as the opportunity arises : be it cycling in the hall, or planting in our growing garden, or playing with water or making playdough in the classroom. The options are endless............
