Welcome to Little Larks!
My name is Emma and I am a mummy of two boys born in 2020 and 2022. My experience as a mother has made me really appreciate the wonderful world of these early years and how I would love to be part of shaping other children’s experiences at such an important time in their lives.
I am registered with a childminding agency who have provided a fantastic platform for my training and who continue to support me with ongoing CPD ensuring I am up to date and enhancing my skills to provide a complete service for you and your family. They provide an app where I can update you on what adventures we have been on that morning or afternoon and you too can communicate back, so you can very much be apart of your child’s daily moments.
I live with my husband, Russ and our two boys. Our home is on a quiet lane just outside of Farnham with lots of indoor space. We recently moved back home after a long renovation and we tailored the build to focus on providing space for young children to explore and be independent safely.
I am energetic and bubbly with an enthusiasm for enhancing learning opportunities as children naturally discover the world around them. Exploring through their eyes and taking life at their pace is such a privilege. As a ‘home from home’ environment I believe in a partnership approach where we work together to give your child the best opportunities to learn and develop. I am a very approachable person and I will always encourage a relaxed open line of communication. Team work makes the dream work as they say!
Our typical day will always involve a trip out generally in the mornings; be it to a local park, playgroup, farm or the library. After a busy morning and after lunch there will be plenty of opportunities to explore our playroom with a variety of toys to choose from. Toys will be rotated on a frequent basis to ensure your child remains engaged with the resources and to allow me to help support them in their development and next steps. I will also provide opportunities for sensory and messy play, making the most of the tuff tray and all it has to offer! Alongside adult led play opportunities such as stories and singing. Having seen first hand how children want to feel valued and included in every day activities; food preparation using child safe utensils, meal and activities set up and baking will all be common activities.
I appreciate how difficult it is to choose and find the right space for your child so please do pop in for an informal chat. All settling in sessions are child/parent led and we will work together to ensure the right plans are in place to allow your child to feel happy, confident and secure to enjoy our adventures together.

My Experience
We have a large family based in Finland so I have always been around children in my family. Having 2 young children of my own, has given me a wealth of knowledge and experience in how to care for babies and young children
