About Me

Hello! I’m Ayse (pronounced Aysha or Isha)

I’m a 29-year-old childcare provider with a mixed British and Turkish background, originally from Cambridge and now based in the Chesterton area. I drive and can be flexible with location if needed.

I’m an active, creative, and nurturing person who genuinely enjoys spending time with children. I love the outdoors—whether that’s cycling, long walks, meditating in nature, or going for a run (I recently completed my first half marathon!). I’m also passionate about cooking, baking, and getting hands-on with DIY or art projects—activities I love to share with little ones.

Coming from a big family with four brothers, I naturally stepped into a caring, responsible role from a young age. This experience shaped me into someone who’s deeply compassionate and family-oriented. I now enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephews and bring that same energy to the children I care for.

I have a flexible work schedule, typically available between 8am and 4/5pm on weekdays. I am available to babysit on weekday evenings and weekends.

My approach is warm, nurturing, and tailored to each child’s individual needs. I focus on building trust, encouraging creativity, and providing a safe, supportive environment. I’m confident working with children of all ages and abilities, including those with SEND, and I always aim to promote independence, positive behavior, and emotional wellbeing through meaningful play and communication.

Whether you're looking for a fun and active sitter or someone who can offer calm and reliable care, I’d love to support your family.

Please feel free to get in touch—I’d love to hear more about your childcare needs

My Experience

I'm currently employed as a Young People’s Worker for the local authority, where I support adolescents with a wide range of needs, including those with mental health challenges and special educational needs. My role involves providing emotional support, building trusting relationships, and creating safe and engaging environments for young people to thrive.

I also bring over 5 years of experience working with young people in a youth work setting. I’ve planned and led a variety of fun and enriching activities such as cooking and baking, outdoor sports, arts and crafts, and board games. These experiences have taught me how to adapt to different personalities and energy levels while ensuring children feel included, valued, and supported.

I also have also completed a TEFL qualification back in 2016 and spent time travelling abroad and teaching English to children.

My Qualifications

Masters degree in children and adolescent mental health.
Level 2 in health and social care
Cert in safeguarding children and adolescents
Mental health first aider
Trauma informed practice
PACE
Solution focused therapy

Ayse has been helping us with our 6yo since May 2025, picking her up two afternoons a week plus extra occasional evenings. Our daughter took to her from their first meeting and things have been going strongly ever since. We appreciate Ayse's warmth, creativity, kindness, and initiative - as well as being led by our daughter's interests, she also regularly introduces her to new games and activities that are always well-received. With us parents she is professional and precise in her communications, and thorough about checking about any preferences, requirements, and other important information. We are so glad to have met Ayse through this website and have her in our daughter's life!
