My Summary

My Experience

My experience as a teacher made me fall in love with children more. I have worked with children for over 10 years and I enjoy working with them. I worked as a hostel mistress in a secondary school where I single-handedly took care of and watched over the girl's hostel. It was more of a babysitting job because I ensured the girls are well taken care of, their well-being was my responsibility, ensuring that their rooms are tidy, observing their siesta as at when due, and personal grooming, administering drugs to those who fell ill and ensuring that they eat and are well. I also ensure they do their assignment from school and they go for their prep to study. I was also their English language teacher, so I had the responsibility for their well-being and their academics as well. Spending time with them was so much fun, as my heart warmed up to them. We had a fun time and also got serious about work and study.
On a more personal level, I babysit my Sister's daughter for 3 months, my sister worked in a bank then, so she had to resume work very early. So at three months, I was with her, I would take care of the baby, feed her, bathe her, change her diapers, and ensure that she sleeps when she needs to or whenever she wants to.
Also, two of my elder brother's wives gave birth, and I was there all through the birth process, taking care of the babies, although they gave birth at intervals, it was just a year apart, but I had so much to do, my hands were filled literally. It was so much joy for me to be part of their growth, from changing their diapers, playing with them, rocking them to sleep, feeding them, and taking lots of pictures with them aas it gives me beautiful memories. It was so much joy and I enjoy doing these. I believe these experiences in a way has also prepared me for my own motherhood.

My Qualifications

I have worked for over 10 years with children, as a class teacher, subject teacher, and hostel mistress. I studied English Language in education where I learned the rudiment of teaching and also how to impact knowledge into children, understanding that children are not the same and they are to be treated as the individuals they are. Understanding them for who they are. I am gentle, kind, loving, patient, emphatic, and a great listener.

My Availability

I am available to work Mondays to Fridays and also on Saturdays.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £10.50 per hour
