About Me
Hi I’m Fiona, I have just completed my PGCE, receiving QTS and will be starting my first teaching job in London in September.
I am originally from York and completed my training in Leeds. I have recently moved London this month and am looking for work as a private tutor or babysitter after school and on evenings during the week, or on weekends.
I am friendly, polite and possess significant and diverse teaching experience with young children.
I have a great understanding of the national curriculum as well as excellent knowledge of maths and English - although I am willing to teach any topic/subject you’d like your child to learn and will ensure I am knowledgeable on this prior to the session.
My Experience
During my PGCE I spent significant time teaching in 3 socially diverse schools across West Yorkshire.
I have experience with SEN pupils and younger children, having spent time in a SEN school and early years settings.
I have also undertaken several volunteering experiences in schools prior to my PGCE, as well as been a young leader for a local brownie group, and organised and helped lead a residential trip with pupils of an underprivileged school in Coventry.
My Qualifications
PGCE in primary education with QTS (qualified teacher status)
Full and recent DBS
BSc in Psychology from the University of Warwick
