My Summary
About Me
I’m a qualified teacher from York who has been living in London for the past two years, currently based in Pimlico. During this time, I’ve worked as a Year 5 teacher at an Ofsted ‘Outstanding'-rated primary school in Southwark, a role I will be continuing into the next academic year. I’m now looking for tutoring opportunities over the summer holidays, with the potential to continue into the evenings during term time from September.
I am friendly, polite, and bring a wealth of diverse teaching experience with young children. I am known to always be smiling and will ensure your child not only learns, but genuinely enjoys the process.
I have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and excellent subject knowledge in both Maths and English. That said, I am happy to support your child in any subject area, and will always ensure I’m fully prepared and confident in the material ahead of each session.
Please feel free message me if you have any questions or would like to chat in person.
My Experience
I have completed two years of full-time teaching in a primary school, marking the successful completion of my ECT years. During this time, I have taught over 120 Year 5 pupils and taken part in numerous educational trips, including two week-long residentials. I currently work at a centrally located London school with a highly diverse student population, including many pupils with a range of learning needs and SEND. The school has a strong academic track record, with pupil achievement consistently above the national average for the past 20 years. Originally from York, I completed my PGCE in Leeds, gaining experience across three different schools there. Prior to that, I volunteered during university to help organise a residential trip for an underprivileged school in Coventry, which sparked my passion for working in education.
