About Me
I have been a qualified teacher for over 15 years, working in a range of inner and outer London primary schools. For the last four years I have been an Assistant Headteacher and SENCO and I am now expanding my tutoring to children with additional needs.
In most mainstream schools class sizes are large, and even outstanding teachers find it hard to personalise learning and ensure each child gets a high level of support and guidance. I have a passion for tutoring as the relationship that develops on a 1:1 level ensures children grow in confidence and self esteem and therefore make progress academically. I strongly prefer to tutor face to face as I believe this supports children’s focus and engagement, however I am open to discussing online options.
I have experience teaching and tutoring children across KS1 and KS2. I work with children from Year 2 and focus on reading, grammar, punctuation and maths.
