My name is Naomi and my setting is called Sunflowers Childminding. I live with my husband, and our three young children, in a semi detached house in Freshbrook, West Swindon.
I offer a friendly, and caring, home from home setting for babies and younger children during the day, and wraparound care for children before and after preschool and school hours. My aim is for my setting to be a place where children feel loved, nurtured and secure in a safe, cosy and homely environment.
I am a calm and gentle person and follow peaceful parenting techniques. I always aim to understand behaviour from the child’s perspective. I also believe that boundaries are very important for the well-being of both the child and the adult.
We have a lovely enclosed garden, which my children love to play in, and a large conservatory with lots of natural light, which we use as the main playroom.
Within my setting there are plenty of opportunities for creative and imaginative indoor and outdoor play, which cover all of the learning development areas of the EYFS.
We enjoy the outdoors, nature and exploring and are within easy access of beautiful open spaces, woodland areas, farms and a variety of play parks.

My Experience
I have worked in education, with children and teenagers, for over sixteen years.
Before my children were born, I was a qualified teacher specialising in English.
For the past twelve years, I have worked as a Literacy Intervention Tutor in a local secondary school.
I have also had experience working within an early years setting and, most importantly, raising my own three young children!
My Qualifications
BA (Hons) English degree
Post Graduate Certificate of Education
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
I have also completed the necessary training to become an Ofsted registered childminder:
Level 3 Course - Common Core Compliant: Ofsted Recognised Childminder Introductory Training Course (caring for ages 0-12) comprising of 5 modules:

My Availability
*TERM TIME* (38-39 weeks per year)
Tuesdays and Wednesdays: 7.30am-5.30pm. Day care for babies and young children. No current vacancies.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
I charge £5.50 for any hours required outside of the funded hours. Funded hours are 9am-4.30pm.
For wraparound fees, I have set rates per session (morning and afternoon).
