My Summary

My Experience

Au pairing - From June till September 2023 I moved to Italy to au pair for a family of 3 children (ages 3,6,10). My responsibilities during this time were to support the children’s English, play and entertain them daily, help with their daily routine such as helping prepare them for the day, cook meals, put them to bed. During this time I gained such a special bond with the children and would love to build this again with children I am babysitting.

Nursery bank staff - Alongside university and during summer, I worked within the baby, toddler and pre-school room in a nursery. This meant I gained valuable experience with all different age groups, pairing well with my teaching experiences with the older groups.

Student teaching - I have gained experience in primary schools from 2020-2025 with different year groups (reception, year 1, year 2, year 4, year 5, year 6) with many children from different backgrounds. Therefore I am more than happy to support your children with any homework!

Teaching in South Africa - This summer I got the chance to volunteer as part of Project Zulu, ran by my university. I spent a month working in township schools in South Africa, working with teachers and children in the community. This was an invaluable experience and allowed me to build strong communication and interpersonal skills with those from another culture and who spoke English as an additional language.

Play worker - During university I worked for a charity on a Friday running play sessions for families with children with additional needs. Additionally, in 2019 I spent my summer at a play scheme where I was responsible for organising and carrying out both fun and educational activities for a group of children.

Gymnastics coaching - As a child I went to a gymnastics club where I continued to go on to gain a coaching qualification where I was able to teach sessions for children from ages 2-17.
I have also worked in a children’s play area where I was responsible for supervising the children’s play, hosting parties and ensuring the area was safe.

My Qualifications

I have just finished my teacher training at UWE, graduating with a first class degree in Primary Education (with Qualified Teacher Status).
During college I gained a distinction star in my T-Level in Childcare and Education. During this I completed over 750 hours of placement in a primary school alongside studying child development theories ect.
I hold a Level 1 General Gymnastics qualification alongside many years of experience.
I have also completed many in person and online courses which are childcare related and I am happy to share the certificates of these to those interested.
