My Experience

As a babysitter, I've cared for a range of children aged 1-13 years during evenings every week and sometimes during the day
As a daycare nanny, I cared for a 7-year-old child during the day for 4 days a week during the summer of 2020.

I have volunteered at a primary school where I supported students in preparation for their transition into Year 7.

I currently do supply work at nurseries around Brighton and Hove as an unqualified nursery assistant.

My main responsibilities include:
Creating engaging, educational, and innovative games and activities
Consistently ensured children were fed and bathed
Put children to bed or put them down for nap time
Organized and cleaned the property as needed
Assisted children with school homework, assigned reading, and other activities
Coordinated play dates and activities with other childcare providers and families as per a parent-approved list.
Ensured proper hygiene and safety
Discussed progress and limitations with the employer when necessary.
Prepared and provided healthy meals, snacks, and beverages to children.
Provided comfort and support to distraught or injured children
Safely transported children to and from school, as well as parks and playgrounds and other community venues.

My Qualifications

I have a degree in Childhood and Youth Studies from the University of Sussex.

My Availability

I currently work part time in retail and I’m interested in getting another job part-time as a nanny. Preferably 2 days a week.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £11.00 per hour
• Nannying from £11.00 per hour (gross)
