About Me

Hello, and thank you for visiting!

I am an experienced primary school teacher with 11 years in the classroom, including 7 years as a Deputy Headteacher and a year as Acting Headteacher. I have a deep passion for helping children learn and achieve their best, and I find it incredibly rewarding to see a child’s confidence build as they begin to understand and enjoy their learning.

I now offer private tutoring in the Bristol area and am happy to travel to your home for lessons.

In English, I design and prepare my own high-quality resources, using engaging, age-appropriate texts to inspire children’s reading, writing, and vocabulary development.

In Maths, my pupils achieve excellent results thanks to my emphasis on building fluency, confidence, and reasoning skills, helping them approach challenges with enthusiasm and self-belief.

Over the years, I’ve taught children with a wide range of abilities and special educational needs. I take pride in adapting my approach to suit each child’s unique learning style, ensuring that every pupil feels supported, understood, and capable of success.

I have excellent references from my previous headteacher, our local authority school improvement officer, and from parents whose children I’ve had the pleasure of teaching.
