About Me
I am passionate about supporting and empowering young people with a wide range of learning strengths and challenges, with a particular interest in specific learning differences such as dyslexia and the opportunities these can offer in today’s society.
As a dyslexic thinker and a parent of three sons, two of whom are dyslexic, I have first-hand insight into how neurodiversity can shape a child’s learning journey, confidence and well-being. This lived experience strongly informs my approach to early support, inclusion and nurturing each child’s individual strengths.
My Experience
Over the past thirty years, I have worked as a class teacher, SEN teacher, Special Needs Coordinator (SENDCo), Early Years Lead and Family Support Worker.

• 2022 Postgraduate Certificate in Specific Learning Difficulties
• 2023 AMBDA
• 2023 PATOSS Specific Learning Difficulties Assessment Practising Certificate (APC)
My Availability
The dyslexic brain processes information differently. This difference results in strengths like critical thinking, creativity and communication skills BUT challenges with reading, writing, spelling, rote learning, memory and concentration. Identifying an individual's strengths and challenges is key to their success in education and employment.
