Hi there! I'm Joy. I have spent the last 6 years caring for children. I have a passion for cultivating learning opportunities and encouraging children to experience the world with curiosity and wonder. Overall I am an energetic individual that strives to appreciate the little things in life, while approaching obstacles as opportunities. I am an international student, relatively new to Brighton and Hove looking for a family in need of a part-time caregiver with similar needs and values!
My Experience
Child caregiver with one year of nanny experience and an additional five years of professional experience in a childcare center. As a nanny for a 2 year old boy, I structured most of our days around engaging activities in the community and outdoor play. Prior to being a nanny, I spent five years caring for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder aged 2-18. I worked collaboratively with my colleagues to develop educational programming to fit each child’s unique needs so that we could lead clients to achieve greater independence in their homes and communities.
My Qualifications
Current Bachelors Degree and will graduate with a Masters in June of 2024. CPR and first aid certified.
Valid International Driving License but I do not currently have my own vehicle.
My Availability
Starting 25 September 2023, my availability will be part-time only as I will be studying at the University of Brighton full time. Schedule is still pending, but I am looking for about 20 hours of work each week.
