Private Tutor in Birmingham
My Summary
About Me
I am a highly experienced and dedicated tutor with over 16 years of teaching and tutoring experience, specialising in 11+ preparation, primary education, and supporting children with additional learning needs. I am passionate about helping every child unlock their full academic potential through engaging, structured, and highly personalised tuition.
My teaching style is energetic, supportive, and results-driven. Lessons are carefully designed to be interactive, stimulating, and tailored to each child’s learning style, using a blend of visual learning, structured practice, educational games, and practical activities to ensure strong understanding and long-term retention.
Having taught extensively across Birmingham and Solihull, I have a strong understanding of the local school systems, grammar school expectations, and the National Curriculum. This allows me to guide students strategically through their academic journey and prepare them for key transitions.
My Experience
11+ Specialism
I specialise in preparing students for Grammar School entrance examinations, including Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Maths, and English. I use a wide range of recognised resources including Bond, GL, CEM and CGP, alongside extensive mock papers from a variety of grammar schools to ensure students are fully prepared for exam conditions.
My approach focuses on teaching efficient problem-solving strategies and exam techniques, enabling students to answer questions with speed, accuracy, and confidence. Rather than relying on repetitive methods, I train students to recognise patterns and apply quick, effective techniques that significantly improve performance under timed conditions. I am proud to maintain a 98% success rate in preparing students for the 11+ examination.
Specialist Support
Alongside academic tuition, I have extensive experience working with students with additional needs, including:
ADHD
Autism Spectrum Condition (mild to moderate)
SEND
SEMH
Speech and language delay
Echolalia
In my current role, I work closely with disengaged pupils and students without school placements, helping them rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning, and develop the skills needed to succeed academically and socially. In depth phonic training to understand letters, sounds, reading and writing.
Over the past 16 years, I have worked across schools, tuition centres, and children’s homes, supporting students aged 3–18 years old. My ability to build strong, trusting relationships with both students and parents is one of the foundations of my success.
Parents value my professionalism, reliability, and ongoing support. I am always happy to provide guidance outside lesson times and maintain clear communication to ensure families feel fully supported throughout their child’s learning journey.
My Commitment
My goal is not only to improve academic performance but also to build confidence, independence, and a genuine enjoyment of learning. Through a structured yet encouraging environment, I help students overcome challenges, develop resilience, and achieve results they can be proud of.

We were so lucky to find Neeam, and I couldn’t be happier with our experience! Neeam has taught my little girl with a slight speech delay for around 6 months. She is an effective and patient tutor with creative and hands-on activities. We have seen a massive improvement in all areas of my daughters development and she looks forward to her lessons each week! I highly recommend Neeam to any parent looking for a nurturing and effective educator for their little one.
