About Me
Hi, I’m Kate at Little Adventurers Childcare. I'm a registered childminder with CIW. Having three children of my own, I understand the importance of a safe and nurturing environment for children to thrive and flourish. I am a qualified and experienced teacher of 14 years, teaching and leading across EYFS as well as a qualified SENCO/ALNCo. I have re-directed my skills, combined with my passion for the power of play, in providing quality care for children at a home from home setting.
I am passionate about providing a secure, nurturing, inclusive and stimulating environment where children feel confident and happy. I provide quality care and carefully planned activities and opportunities that are tailored to your child’s needs, interests, and preferences for children in my care to thrive, learn and develop, but most importantly to feel safe and happy.
Each space within the setting has been purposely designed and fully resourced for purpose to enhance learning and development for all ages and stages as well as promoting independence, choice, creativity, and exploration. Opportunities such arts and crafts, songs and rhyme, baking, explorative play, sensory play, as well as enhanced learning activities to develop physical development.
Play will be at the centre of your child’s development and learning. They will have endless opportunities to engage and have fun, explore and discover, as well as experiencing a wide range of different stimulating environments through weekly planned trips and outings.
My Experience
• BA Honors Degree in Performing Arts and Media Studies.
• PGCE - I am a qualified teacher. Experienced in teaching EYFS/KS1 up to Post-16.
• Experienced Deputy Head in a specialist school with responsibility for teaching and learning and co-ordinating ALN and supporting all transitions.
• Experienced Specialist teacher for ALN and have set-up and managed Local Authority and non-maintained specialist provisions.
• NASENCO- I am a qualified SENCO/Additional Learning Needs Coordinator.
• Level 7 Psychometric assessor- qualified and experienced in carrying out psychometric testing for ability and assessments to learn about a child’s needs and learning profile.
Before teaching, I worked in a local nursery.
I have worked with children and parents for many years and value the strong communication and relationships needed to ensure happy children and that their needs are being met.

My Availability
Full time, part time, wrap around care and holiday care for 0-12 year olds
Opening hours: 7am-6pm
Minimum hours of 7 hours per day unless it's wrap around care.
