My Experience

When I was a teenager I assisted my mother at her Beaver Colony, undertook work experience at a Council Nursery and during one of my holidays assisted in a special needs school.
Since leaving school I have worked with children for 15 years. Whilst studying for my NVQ2 & 3 I worked as a mother's help for 1 year, which led me into nannying (sole charge) for 2 children aged 10 months and 5 years Unfortunately the family moved away from the area. In my next position I worked sole charge for 3 children aged 2, 3, 5, for 9 years. During this time I had my 2 children and was able to take them to work with me. When their oldest child reached 16 the family felt they could no longer justify employing a nanny but we still keep in touch and are all close friends.
It was at this stage that I decided to go into childminding and completed the necessary courses, etc.
The past few years I have been successfully combining childminding and nannying. Two days childminding for one family and 3 days nannying for another.

Visits are encouraged.

My Availability

I have been running a very successful before and after school club based from my house in forestdale.. 2 minute walk from Courtwood primary school.
The children will have access to a fully equipped garden. We will also visit the local park after school. There will be different activities out for the children to do at my house. We have a Wii for the children to use,, we have sport games. Dance games etc set out.
I will also do a holiday club too.
My hours are 7.30am-6.30pm 5 days a week.
