About Me
I am a registered childminder working alongside another experienced childminder and a dedicated assistant within a nurturing outdoor childminding setting. Together, we provide a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where children are encouraged to learn, explore, and grow at their own pace.
Our setting is based on a beautiful 2.5-acre site, offering a rich outdoor environment where children can connect with nature every day. We are passionate about outdoor learning and spend most of our time outside, providing a wide range of outdoor and forest school inspired activities. These experiences help children build confidence, develop independence, and support their physical, social, and emotional development through hands on learning and play.
In addition to our extensive outdoor space, we also have a warm and welcoming indoor area. This provides a calm, comfortable environment for creative activities, group time, rest, and quieter moments, ensuring children’s individual needs are always met.
By combining the benefits of outdoor learning with a homely indoor space, we offer children a balanced, enriching childcare experience where they feel safe, happy, and valued.
My Experience
I hold relevant childcare qualifications and have completed all required training to work as a registered childminder, including paediatric first aid and safeguarding. I am committed to maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills to ensure I provide safe, high quality care at all times.
I am a parent to three children, which has given me valuable first-hand experience and a strong understanding of children’s individual needs, routines, and development at different stages.
For over two years, I have worked as a childcare assistant, gaining practical, hands-on experience in supporting children’s learning, play, and wellbeing. This role has allowed me to develop confidence in caring for children, planning activities, supporting the EYFS, and working closely with families.
Prior to working in childcare, I was employed within social services, where I developed strong skills in communication, safeguarding, organisation, and working with children and families in a professional and supportive manner. This experience has strengthened my ability to recognise individual needs and provide care that is both nurturing and responsive.
I am a kind, organised, and highly competent practitioner who is passionate about creating a safe, positive, and enriching environment for children. Through my previous work and experience, I am confident in my ability to support children’s development and wellbeing while building trusting relationships with both children and parents.
