Childminder in Harrogate
My Summary
Childminder
About Me
I am a registered childminder, working alongside another experienced childminder within a warm, nurturing home environment. Our setting is based in a beautiful, peaceful location where children can feel safe, secure, and valued as they learn, play, and grow.
We believe children learn best through hands-on experiences and exploration, which is why we spend as much time outdoors as possible. Our lovely, secure garden provides a safe and stimulating space for children to enjoy a wide range of outdoor and nature-inspired activities. Through active play, discovery, and exploration, children develop confidence, independence, and important physical, social, and emotional skills.
Inside our welcoming family home, children have access to a calm and comfortable environment designed to support their individual needs. We provide opportunities for creative play, group activities, quiet time, and rest, ensuring a balanced and enriching experience throughout the day.
By combining the benefits of a homely setting with extensive outdoor learning opportunities, we offer high-quality childcare where every child is encouraged to thrive, develop at their own pace, and build a lifelong love of learning.
My Experience
I hold relevant childcare qualifications and have completed all required training to work as a registered childminder, including paediatric first aid and safeguarding. I am committed to maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills to ensure I provide safe, high quality care at all times.
I am a parent to three children, which has given me valuable first-hand experience and a strong understanding of children’s individual needs, routines, and development at different stages.
For over two years, I have worked as a childcare assistant, gaining practical, hands-on experience in supporting children’s learning, play, and wellbeing. This role has allowed me to develop confidence in caring for children, planning activities, supporting the EYFS, and working closely with families.
Prior to working in childcare, I was employed within social services, where I developed strong skills in communication, safeguarding, organisation, and working with children and families in a professional and supportive manner. This experience has strengthened my ability to recognise individual needs and provide care that is both nurturing and responsive.
I am a kind, organised, and highly competent practitioner who is passionate about creating a safe, positive, and enriching environment for children. Through my previous work and experience, I am confident in my ability to support children’s development and wellbeing while building trusting relationships with both children and parents.
