About Me
Hello, I am currently in my second year at The University of Exeter studying Social Anthropology. I worked as a Camp Counsellor for 2.5 months in the summer and thoroughly enjoyed working and inspiring young people. I would love to gain more experience working with children and so this is the perfect flexible opportunity.
My Experience
During Camp I looked after a group of 8 children for the entirety of the one or two week sessions over two and a half months. I mainly worked with 10 to 12 year olds with a variety of needs but I also worked with children of all ages in activities (including climbing , drama and gardening) from as young as 4 up to 16 years old.
I have also babysat for family friends and often work with children in my job in the Tourist Information Centre back home in Wales.
My Qualifications
The first week of camp consisted of intense training solely based on working with young people, including some first aid training.
I have a DBS check which was needed for my visa in the summer.
I also gained all A*’s for GCSE’s and 3 A*’s for A-Level (including Maths and English) so can help with tutoring as well if needed.
My Availability
I can do early in the morning before school throughout the week and I can also do some evenings and weekends if needed.
