I am Rayanne, a QTS-certified primary school teacher with over 6 years of experience in education. I now tutor in East London and I hope to make a real difference for each and every one of my students.
I am a passionate educator and I take pride in being an advocate for each student’s unique learning journey. My extensive background has enabled me to facilitate substantial growth for students from diverse backgrounds, including those with SEND, EAL, and those exceeding age-expected attainment levels. During my career as an educator, I have completed a range of professional development courses, such as Read Write Inc. phonics training and Maths Mastery training through the NCETM. I'm well-equipped to assist your child with various subjects, including reading, writing, maths, science, history, and preparation for 11+ entrance exams. Additionally, I am also a qualified journalist and can offer proofreading services for academic purposes.

My Experience
I have taught at a number of primary schools across both KS1/KS2.
In KS1, I fostered the fundamental building blocks of education, concentrating on the early stages of literacy, numeracy, and social development. Creating a nurturing and stimulating environment was key to instilling a love for learning among the youngest students. Through creative and interactive teaching methodologies, I made learning enjoyable and accessible, setting a solid groundwork for each student's educational progression.
Transitioning to KS2, I engaged with more advanced academic concepts, guiding students through a phase where critical thinking, independent learning, and a deeper understanding of subjects were emphasised. Tailoring lessons to suit varying learning styles became imperative to ensure all students thrived academically. Additionally, I took an active role in mentoring students, helping them navigate the social challenges of this developmental stage while encouraging their curiosity and individuality.
Adapting my teaching style to accommodate the diverse needs of students at different stages of their educational journey was a rewarding challenge. This experience honed my ability to craft adaptable lesson plans and assessments, catering to the unique requirements of each child. Moreover, it allowed me to witness the holistic growth of students as they progressed from foundational concepts to more complex academic pursuits.
This varied experience across both KS1 and KS2 not only broadened my understanding of pedagogy but also highlighted the importance of continuity and progression in education. It reinforced the significance of a seamless transition between key stages, ensuring that each student's learning journey remains cohesive and supportive.

Primary - £45 per hour
Exam Preparation - £55 per hour
Love of Reading - £25 per half hour
English as an Additional Language - £25 per half hour
Homework Support - £25 per half hour
Discounts available for block booking more than one session back-to-back and for monthly payments.
Commuting is included in the prices shown, except where it exceeds half an hour.
