Hi there! My name is Amy and connecting with little ones brings me a lot of joy. I love looking after children, and creating a space where they feel seen, heard, and valued. I love the outdoors, cycling and dancing and hope to have lots of fun with the little people I care for.
My Experience
I've had the pleasure of caring for nieces, cousins, and neighbours’ children, and have experience nannying. I am certified in Child and Infant First Aid and have a Level 2 TQUK certificate in childcare.
I am degree educated, and in my free time volunteer with elderly people suffering from diseases such as Parkinson’s. I enjoy caring for people of all ages, toddlers and elderly alike, and hope to bring heart and know-how to the table.
My Qualifications
I know how to keep kids safe as I have practical first aid training and experience caring for children. I have an enhanced DBS and a special certification (TQUK Level 2 Community Care) that helps me handle health and feeding issues in children. I understand how kids of all abilities grow, learn, and play. I also have a number of certificates in Autism Awareness, Infection Control and Hygiene Practices, Safeguarding and Disability training.
Aside from my childcare qualifications, I have a degree in Sociology from Durham University, and am currently studying a Masters to become a Physician Associate. As part of my current degree, I have a wealth of clinical knowledge and experience.
