About Me

I am Kim, an Ofsted-registered childminder located in Raunds, holding a recent "GOOD" rating across all assessment areas. I can provide a QR code for parents and guardians to access my latest Ofsted report.

I am a parent to three children, aged 12, 9, and 4, and our household also includes a small dog and a cat. My personal interests include hiking in national parks, canoeing, and spending quality time with my family.

My residence is conveniently situated opposite a developing nature reserve, offering a safe and stimulating environment for exploration and observation of diverse wildlife, including various uncommon bird species and small animals, which I enjoy sharing with the children.

Our garden is equipped with swings and slides suitable for all age groups, a mud kitchen, a sandpit, and a large chalkboard. We are also constructing a substantial water play wall for summer enjoyment. We cultivate vegetables in a large planter and grow strawberries, blueberries, apples, and pears in additional pots. The garden features a natural grass area and a separate paved section for use during inclement weather and the winter months.

I am passionate about engaging children through singing, dancing, and, most importantly, reading captivating stories. My book collection is curated to include meaningful life lessons and discussion prompts. All toys provided are wooden and maintained in excellent condition. Our car seats are regularly inspected, age-appropriate, and, critically, within their expiration dates.

I offer a healthy snack daily, accompanied by water or milk. Depending on their age, children are encouraged to prepare their own snacks, fostering independence throughout the day. Daily tooth brushing is also implemented for children attending early.

For communication and updates, I utilize the Famly application, which provides real-time information on naps, nappy changes, snacks, learning journeys, and invoices.
