About Me
Welcome to Little Butterflies.
Little Butterflies is a nature-led childcare setting where childhood unfolds through nature, play and connection.
From our cosy garden cabin and outdoor learning spaces, children spend their days exploring the natural world, following their interests and learning through hands-on experiences.
Whether we're hunting for minibeasts, building dens, creating with natural materials or simply noticing the changing seasons, every day brings opportunities for discovery and wonder.
Inspired by Forest School principles, I provide a calm and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to take risks, build confidence, develop resilience and form meaningful connections with the world around them.
At Little Butterflies, children are given the time, space and freedom to be curious, capable and completely themselves.
My Experience
I've worked with children for over 10 years across early years and specialist settings, supporting children with a wide range of needs and abilities.
These experiences have shaped the nature-led, inclusive approach at Little Butterflies, where every child is valued as an individual and encouraged to learn at their own pace.
My Qualifications
• Level 3 Early Years Qualification
• Paediatric First Aid (Current)
• Safeguarding Training (Current)
• Experience supporting children with additional needs in specialist and mainstream settings
• Currently completing Outdoor Learning training to further develop Little Butterflies' nature-led approach
My Availability
8am - 5:30 all year round
Monday- Thursday

- Childminding from £8.00 per hour

We feel incredibly lucky to have found Amy at Little Butterflies Childminders. From day one, they created a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment that our child absolutely loves. It’s clear that she genuinely care about each child in their care, and the level of attention and thought put into daily activities is outstanding.
Our child has blossomed under Amy’s care at Little Butterflies Childminders guidance—socially, emotionally, and developmentally. Every day is filled with fun, learning, creativity, and kindness. Whether it’s arts and crafts, outdoor play, story time, or learning new skills, there’s always something engaging planned. We’re always amazed by what our child has learned and how happy they are to go each morning.
Communication is also excellent. We receive regular updates, photos, and messages, which gives us real peace of mind and shows how much Little Butterflies Childminders values transparency and parent involvement.

Amy has provided after school care for our daughter this year and has been absolutely amazing. She has a genuine love of the children she looks after, provides a really warm and caring environment and fully attends to their needs. We highly recommend her!

Amy looked after our son for a few months and she is brilliant. She has boundless energy, always chipper and takes the kids out loads. Ideal for our boy who loves to run around. Amy is very experienced and we saw a huge difference in our son’s personality after spending time with Amy.

Amy has been caring for our twin girls since they were just over 1 they absolutely adore their time with her & cant wait to get out the car when we arrive! We’re very lucky to have Amy & completely trust the girls are cared for and looked after as if they were a member of her family!
Cant recommend highly enough!
