About Me

*I will be available to start around the end of July/ beginning of August. I am more than happy to continue to take messages/ potential Saturday trial sessions leading up to those months.*

I am a passionate, dedicated and caring qualified nanny who has a genuine passion for fostering the well-being and growth of children. With a background in Childcare with a Level 3 Childcare diploma and also a Bachelor of Education degree with QTS that enabled me to be fortunate enough to work within a primary school for the past two years, I have honed the skills necessary to create a nurturing and enriching environment for the little ones under my care. Patience, adaptability, and excellent communication are integral to my approach, ensuring a harmonious relationship with both the children and their parents. I am committed to not only meeting the practical needs of the children but also engaging them in activities that promote learning, creativity, and joy. My primary focus is on providing a safe, loving, and stimulating atmosphere that allows each child to flourish and ensuring that I am able to support them in meeting their developmental milestones. Through this job, I not only gain more experience but I also get to do what I love most and that is looking after children!

My Experience

Through the years of 2017-2019, I gained 2 years experience at college completing a Level 3 Childcare Course. During this time, I was fortunate enough to work within a primary school setting and a nursery setting where I worked with children aged 6months to 6 years. My role during this time was to assist with care and supporting the nursery/primary school staff in providing care to children, including tasks like feeding, observing the babies as well as staff, contributing to developmental assessments, planning and organising age-appropriate activities/play and ensuring the children’s general well-being. I was responsible for organising and facilitating a diverse array of activities for both children and infants, aiming to stimulate their learning, spark enthusiasm, and bring joy to their experiences. Over the two years of my college course, I built upon my knowledge and understanding of child care and I was actively engaged in practical learning experiences whilst applying my theoretical knowledge.

Following on from this, I have also received a Bachelors of Education degree with QTS that I was awarded in September 2022. During my time at university, I covered a range of learning and understanding about the development and needs of children from the ages of 3 to 12 years old. For the past two years, I have been a Year 1 class teacher in a primary school working closely with children aged 5-6 years. My role as the class teacher responsible for a class of 30 children was to guide and educate students, fostering their intellectual, social and emotional development. I had the opportunity to create lesson plans that catered to the children’s abilities and skill levels whilst also trying to challenge and push their thinking further. As a teacher, it is crucial to deliver clear and concise instructions, assess children’s progress and provide support whenever needed and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment. Through my experience, I have come to understand that I have the responsibility and opportunity to shape children’s characters, instil values and prepare them for the future. I am able to get to know the children on a one to one level and understand their personalities, what they like and dislike and what will motivate them. Collaboration with parents, colleagues and school staff is an integral part of my responsibilities as a teacher.

I have had previous experience in babysitting for family friends’ children.

My Qualifications

I received a Grade in my Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education: Early Years Educator where I focused on every aspect of a child’s learning and development as well as individual needs.

In 2022, I was awarded a First in my university degree: BEd Hons Primary Education with QTS.

I recently completed my First Aid Training and I have an enhanced DBS check.
