My Summary
Ben Moorman-Fuzi Childminding - Health, Happiness, And Education.
About Me
Hello, and thank you for considering me as a partner in your child’s early years journey!
I am Ben, a dedicated and fully OFSTED Registered Childminder and a father to a beautiful four-year-old daughter. I am committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating home-from-home environment. With over a decade of experience working with children across various age groups, I love bringing a wealth of knowledge and passion to childminding.
Education and holistic development are at the heart of my approach. I have a Bachelor's Degree from Bath Spa University, a Master's Degree, and a Master of Letters (MLitt) degree from the University of Bristol, so I have a huge commitment to excellence in early years provision.
To ensure children receive the highest quality of care and learning, I have developed a structured and engaging curriculum of 31 unique lessons. These lessons are taught under the umbrella of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, allowing children to learn through play and guided exploration while meeting key developmental milestones. Example of some of the lessons range from Personal Social and Emotional Development (Psychology, Sociology, Healthcare), Physical Development, Communication and Language (English and multiple foreign languages), Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World (Geography, History, Science) and Expressive Arts (Craft, Music, Drama).
The development of children is what I truly love—watching them discover the world, master new skills, and grow in confidence is the most rewarding part of this profession.
I obviously hold up-to-date qualifications, including Paediatric First Aid certification and a Childminding in the Community (ChiC) Certificate.
On a personal note, as I mentioned, I am also a father to a beautiful four-year-old daughter. This personal experience obviously deeply strengthens my care, ensuring I approach every child with the empathy, patience, and love I would want for my own.
I look forward to the possibility of welcoming your child into a caring and vibrant setting!
My Experience
With over a decade (10+ years) dedicated to working with children, my experience spans across various settings, giving me a comprehensive understanding of early years development and diverse family needs.
As a fully OFSTED Registered Childminder, I specialise in providing personalised, small-group care that truly feels like a home extension. This intimate setting allows me to focus on each child's individual personality, learning pace, and unique needs, ensuring they feel secure, valued, and ready to explore.
My practical experience comes with a structured approach to learning:
Curriculum Development:
I have developed and implemented a proprietary curriculum of 31 structured lessons, all delivered within the framework of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This ensures every child in my care is actively learning and progressing across the seven areas of development (Communication and Language, Physical Development, Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, and Expressive Arts and Design).
Age Expertise:
I have significant experience nurturing children from infancy right through to school age, successfully preparing them for the transition into primary education with confidence and strong foundational skills.
A key part of my long-standing experience involves building open and trusting relationships with parents. I believe in working as a team, offering regular updates and discussions on your child's milestones, progress, and daily activities to ensure consistency between our setting and your home.
My practical, hands-on experience, along with my commitment to academic achievement, provides a high-quality, nurturing, and developmentally rich experience for every child entrusted to my care.
My Qualifications
My commitment to providing the highest standard of early years care is the result of professional training and academic qualifications.
My educational foundation allows me to bring a deep, theoretical understanding of child development and pedagogy into my daily practice:
Master of Letters (MLitt) Degree: University of Bristol
Master's Degree: University of Bristol
Bachelor’s Degree (BA Hons): Bath Spa University
Safety, compliance, and ongoing professional development are obviously paramount, so I ensure all mandatory requirements are maintained and exceeded:
OFSTED Registered: Fully compliant with all standards for the Early Years Register. My registration guarantees that my setting, care practices, and suitability checks meet the requirements set by the governing body.
Paediatric First Aid Certified: I hold a current, comprehensive Paediatric First Aid certificate, ensuring I am equipped to handle any emergency with competence and confidence.
Childminding in the Community (ChiC) Certificate: This specialised training ensures I am skilled in running a successful, safe, and engaging childminding business within the community framework.
I have practical expertise in structuring care and learning around the mandated national framework:
Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS): I implement the EYFS framework, which guides the quality of teaching and learning in my setting. My 31-lesson curriculum is specifically designed to meet all seven areas of EYFS learning, tracking and supporting every child's progress efficiently.
These qualifications combine with my dedication to providing a safe, compliant, and academically enriching environment where children can thrive.

Our son started with Ben around 4 months ago - his development has been amazing, particularly his speech & language since starting. We really like the activities the children do, such as going on regular nature walks. He already talks about the friends he’s met there which is lovely. Ben is very professional, kind & caring. Communication is great, Ben provides us with regular updates on the day & we receive weekly progress reports too. It is also a bonus that Ben speaks other languages so my son is also getting the benefit of learning new languages there too. Would definitely recommend Ben if you are looking for a childminder ☺️

We cannot recommend Ben enough- our daughter has just done her first month under Bens care and she has developed wonderfully in this time- we can’t get over how much her speech has improved. She’s usually very unsettled at drop offs even at family members houses but she is so happy to see him- in fact she only cries when she has to leave Ben to come back to her parents :)
We are honestly so grateful that we found Ben, he's upbeat, he’s patient, so knowledgeable and just a very very lovely guy.
We get updates throughout the day on how she’s getting on which has been great to know what a lovely day she’s having.
If you’re looking for an incredible childminder look no further.

My 18 month old son has been going to Ben since December & the difference it has made to his development is unbelievable. Every day is a mixture of educational lessons such as language, maths, textiles, science, walks and outdoor time, fun and games, all food is super healthy, high quality, and lots of fruit & veg. His house is super clean & a lovely rural location in Pucklechurch near to a farm, but also easy to get to from the ring road. I am regularly updated and my once clingy 18 month old who struggled to settle-in at nursery after 4 months, is happy to be left with Ben and spends a fun packed and educational day with his new friends. I can't recommend Ben enough, its been a game changer for my little one and his happiness.
