Loving Family Seeking Experienced Nanny for 3-Year-Old Boy – Focus on Early Learning & School Readiness
We are a warm, working family looking for a nurturing, proactive, and experienced nanny to care for our bright and energetic 3-year-old son. We’re seeking someone who is passionate about early childhood development and can help guide and prepare him for Reception, while also supporting his day-to-day needs and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Care & Supervision: Provide warm, attentive care, ensuring his safety, well-being, and emotional support throughout the day.
Potty Training: Support continued potty training with consistency and patience, encouraging independence and confidence.
Behavioural Guidance: Address typical toddler behaviours using positive reinforcement, redirection, and calm, clear boundaries.
Early Learning & School Readiness:
Engage in phonics, letter recognition, early numeracy, and age-appropriate problem-solving activities.
Foster independence with self-care skills (e.g. dressing, tidying up, following instructions).
Encourage listening, focus, and participation in structured tasks to prepare him for a school environment.
Speech & Vocabulary Development: Support expressive and receptive language through conversation, storytelling, reading, and vocabulary-building activities.
Daily Educational Activities: Plan engaging activities that promote curiosity and cognitive development (e.g. crafts, puzzles, themed learning).
Physical Exercise: Include plenty of physical movement daily—both indoor and outdoor play—to build coordination and healthy habits.
Trying New Foods: Encourage a healthy, balanced diet and introduce a variety of foods in a fun, no-pressure way.
Consistent Routine: Maintain a structured, predictable daily routine that includes time for learning, free play, meals, rest, and outings.
Socialisation: Organise playdates and attend local toddler groups or classes to build social confidence and friendships.
Clean & Organised Environment: Keep toys, books, and learning materials tidy, clean, and rotated for engagement.
Parental Communication: Provide daily updates and thoughtful feedback on our son’s learning, behaviour, and developmental progress.
Ideal Candidate:
Experienced: Proven experience with toddlers and preparing children for Reception or preschool transition.
Patient & Enthusiastic: Warm, calm, and creative with a genuine love for early childhood development.
Organised & Reliable: Able to plan a structured day with purposeful activities and take initiative.
Strong Communicator: Able to engage effectively with both our son and us as parents.
First Aid & CPR Certified: Preferred.
Driver’s License: Preferred for classes, outings, and errands.
If you’re passionate about early years education, enjoy working closely with children and families, and are ready to play a key role in a child’s growth and readiness for school, we’d love to hear from you!
We look forward to welcoming the right person into our home and into our son’s journey toward Reception.
