NEW professional OFSTED registered childminder coming soon to Mitton Tewkesbury
25+ years experience across Early Years settings and now in the process of registering to provide home-based care, term time only for children 0-5 years from Spring/Summer 2024
I have three children of my own aged 9, 13 and 20 and I've experience working with babies, toddlers, preschoolers and also supporting children with additional needs and speech and language delay.
I am a passionate advocate of a child centred ethos in the early years - the opening statement of the Development Matters Document (UK Gov 2023) states "No job is more important than working with children in the early years" and it is my firm belief that the first 5 years of life have a huge impact on every individual and their future potential and it is my privilege to play a small part in supporting and nurturing the children I work with on to the pathway to become the best versions of themselves.
My Experience
I have extensive experience working with young children firstly as a private nanny in the USA and UK and then in day nurseries and preschools. I trained as an apprentice in a beautiful semi rural nursery in Cheltenham and from there went on to lead the preschool and ultimately manage the setting. I relocated to Tewkesbury and spent many years in a local pre-school.
