About Me

I’m a 38 year old, mother of 2 children who are 13 & 8.

I am located just a short walk from navigation metro link and can provide wrap around care for pupils from Navigation Primary School.

I have a designated play room and a large garden area perfect for children to explore.

I love being outdoors and my outdoor area is fantastic, I have rabbits and fish that children love to get involved with and help take care of. I have a rabbit vegetable patch where the children can help grow and maintain their own vegetables for the rabbits. I really enjoy growing seasonal plants and flowers with the children too, including my annual "Who can grow the tallest sunflower" competition.
Also, we have recently become very proud owners of a baby tortoise named Sheldon. He is very cute and a huge hit with the children.
My home also backs on to a wooded area that is absolutely full of wildlife such as foxes, birds and squirrels. We even have a blush of Robbins who nest in the holly bush just over the fence and they often fly into the garden to visit.

I also have a large grassed area and separate playground including a climbing frame, swings, slide and trampoline.

Baking and cooking are a couple of things I love doing with the children and I will involve them in the day to day food preparation as much as I can. I believe this is a life skill and teaches children about making healthy choices and also enhances their mathematical skills through weighing ingredients and learning about how long things take to cook.

My main goal is to create a home from home for all the children in my care, for them to be happy and develop their own self confidence in order for them to thrive.
