My Requirements

? Nanny Housekeeper Position - Foxton CB22 ?
December 2025 start

? Setting:
Family based in a detached house in Foxton CB22, two working parents and a 6 year old boy. The little boy attends school in Cambridge. Parents have a mix of working from home (in separate office rooms) and from London; nanny will have sole care of the little boy.
The house has a separate annexe with a private entrance comprising a studio bedroom/kitchenette & bathroom. The role is offered on either live-in or live-out basis.

The family has two cats. ??

? Working hours:
35 hours per week

Term-time: Fixed hours 11am-6pm Monday-Friday (including collection of child at 3pm most days)
School holidays: More flexible arrangements - may be 3.5 days per week as child will attend holiday camps, or full days for one week and shorter days another week, but will average to at least 35 hours every week
Additional: Would appreciate flexibility for occasional babysitting

? Responsibilities:

? Collect little boy from school at 3pm most days (but there may be a day with early collection), drive him home (9 miles / 20 minutes)
? Childcare: homework, nurturing play, baking, outdoor play, supervising independent play, playdates with school friends, ferrying him to classes and clubs, music practice ? (generous allowance for activities with child)
? Housekeeping: Laundry, meal preparation and grocery shopping for family, washing dishes / emptying dishwasher, light cleaning & tidying, sorting cupboards and other household organization tasks (we have weekly cleaners for deep cleaning)

? Benefits:

Pay: £17 per hour gross for live out / £14 per hour gross for live in
?? 28 days per year holiday (including bank holidays)
? Eligible pension scheme enrolment
? PAYE for HMRC and pension enrolment handled by family
?? Nanny membership at David Lloyd

? Requirements:

? Driving required: Yes (own car preferred) - car usage reimbursed at £0.45 per mile
?? You must live and have the right to work in the UK
?? You must have an enhanced DBS on the Gov. update system or be willing to apply for one immediately
? You must have a minimum of two immediately contactable previous employer references
? You must have an up-to-date paediatric first aid certificate or be willing to complete one
??? A minimum of 2 years previous professional experience of working with children as a Nanny or Nursery Practitioner is essential for this role

? Application Process:
We would like to conduct interviews this summer with some trial days for suitable candidates. Applicants encouraged to speak to current nanny who has been with us for over a year and is leaving due to getting engaged and moving out of the area.
