About Me
Hi, I’m an Ofsted-registered childminder based in Sydenham. I run Little Hearts Childminding, offering a warm, caring and home-from-home environment where children can feel safe, settled and happy.
I have many years of experience caring for children and I also have experience supporting children with SEND and additional needs. I understand that every child is different and may need their own approach, routine, communication style or extra reassurance. I aim to provide patient, individualised care and work closely with parents so children feel understood and supported.
I enjoy providing a mixture of play, learning, creative activities, sensory play and outings, while following each child’s interests, routines and stage of development. I believe children learn best when they feel secure, encouraged and able to explore at their own pace.
I offer a nurturing environment with plenty of individual attention and opportunities for children to build confidence, independence and social skills.
Good communication with parents is very important to me, and I aim to build positive relationships with families so they always feel comfortable discussing their child’s needs and progress.
I accept funded childcare for eligible families as well as private childcare, and I’m happy to discuss different days and hours depending on availability.

My Experience
I have extensive hands-on experience caring for children of different ages and supporting their day-to-day routines, development and wellbeing.
I am confident with meal times, naps, toileting, outings, settling-in periods, age-appropriate activities and helping children build confidence and independence.
I also have experience supporting children with SEND and additional needs, including children who may need extra support with attention, impulsivity, emotional regulation, sensory needs, routines and transitions. I use a calm, consistent and individualised approach, including visual prompts, clear routines and reassurance where appropriate.
I understand that every child is different and that behaviour can often be a way of communicating a need. I aim to respond with patience and understanding while maintaining clear, appropriate boundaries.
I also value strong communication with parents and work closely with families to help provide consistent care between home and my setting.
