Hi there! I’m Anne, an Ofsted registered childminder based in Henlow, Bedfordshire. As a wife and mum to four incredible children—two of whom are neurodivergent—our home is always buzzing with love, creativity, and a bit of delightful chaos!
With over 15 years of experience in childcare, I began my career as a Teaching Assistant in South London. My journey then led me into Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) support, where I provided respite care for families in need as well as working in some fantastic SEND schools as 1:1 support. After meeting my husband and moving north of London, life took me down a few different paths. However, last year, I felt the pull to return to my roots in childcare, and that’s when my childminding adventure truly began.
I am deeply passionate about children’s development and inclusion, and I strive to create a warm, home-from-home environment where every child can thrive, explore, and learn. The adventures here are just beginning.
I have a wide range of toys and ensure that there is regular opportunities to access arts and crafts, messy play, garden play, music, singing and sensory play. We head out of the house as much as possible and in all weathers! We also go to local groups, have play dates, visit parks and farms, use the library and lots of other local places. I believe in giving children a wealth of different experiences which aids building those vital foundation's during their most formative years.
My Experience

However, last year, I felt the pull to return to childcare. I also have a keen interest in speech and language and aim to pursue this further alongside childminding.

My Fees
- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
My charges are currently...

Drinks and snacks throughout the day are included.

Anne is an outstanding childminder. She goes above and beyond to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for our children, balancing educational activities with enjoyable experiences. Anne has looked after my son since he just turned one. Having known Anne both personally and professionally for the last nine years, she was the only person I approached to look after my son as I knew she would be the perfect fit. Anne is referred to as super woman in our house. Her knowledge and care are exceptional. She has helped with tricky milestones like potty training and provides regular updates of our son’s adventures. I didn’t expect Anne to monitor progress and build in educational aspects to their day, which has been an added bonus. When Anne says they are always out and about, they are exactly that! My son is regularly attending local woods, parks, playgroups and farms, building his confidence and interests. I would recommend Anne to anyone without reservation. I know that my son will always be in the best hands under her care, and I will miss her when my son moves to reception.

Anne is an incredible childminder. My son has been going to Anne for the past two years, since he was thirteen months old, and her setting has been a home from home for him. Anne provides the perfect balance of care and fun, while giving the children space to learn and grow. She has a wealth of experience that really shines through, and it’s clear how passionate she is about the care and activities she provides. Her communication is excellent, providing us with little updates each day, and my son is always happy when I drop him off and when I pick him up. It will be a sad day when he has to leave her setting.
