About Me
My setting offers a true home from home environment, where children are encouraged to be curious, explore, blossom, grow, and learn in a safe and loving space.
I believe in child-led learning, inspired by play and nature. Our days are full of adventure - whether we’re exploring the woods, playing in the garden, or having fun at the park. We also enjoy regular outings to National Trust sites, forest school sessions, farms, museums, soft play areas, role play centres, and the local library (just to name a few!)
We explore a variety of themes and topics through a mix of spontaneous, in-the-moment planning and carefully designed invitations to play. Each activity is thoughtfully tailored to the developmental stage and interests of every child, supporting them to learn and grow at their own pace
Myself and Laura co-mind together under Alfie’s Den Childminding Services and offer services between Bolton upon Dearne and Hoyland.
My Experience
I’m a mum to a lively toddler and have a real love for the outdoors.
I’m fully first aid trained and have experience supporting adults with learning disabilities.
I have a good understanding of child development and believe that every child is unique. I plan activities around each child’s individual needs, following the EYFS framework, with a focus on learning through play and plenty of outdoor adventures.
My aim is to provide a warm, nurturing environment where every child feels valued, confident, and supported to reach their full potential. I want all children in my care to approach each day with curiosity, excitement, and a sense of wonder about the world around them!
