About Me
My setting offers a true home-from-home environment, where children feel safe, valued and are encouraged to be curious, explore, blossom, grow, and learn in a safe and loving space.
I promote a child-led approach to learning, where play and nature form the basis of daily experiences. Children are given the time and freedom to explore their interests while being supported through meaningful interactions and guidance. Our days include a wide range of outdoor experiences, such as exploring local woods, playing in the garden and visiting nearby parks.
I also offer a variety of enriching outings to support children’s understanding of the wider world. These include visits to National Trust sites, forest school sessions, farms, museums, soft play areas, role play centres and the local library; providing children with opportunities to develop social skills, curiosity and independence.
My setting is also home to a friendly dog and cat who form part of our daily environment.
Children are supported to interact with them safely and respectfully, helping to promote empathy, kindness and a sense of responsibility. Being around animals can also provide comfort and emotional wellbeing, while offering valuable opportunities for children to learn about caring for living things.
Myself and Laura co-mind together under Alfie’s Den Childminding Services and offer services between Bolton upon Dearne and Hoyland.
My Experience
I’m a mum to a lively toddler and have a real love for the outdoors.
I’m fully first aid trained and have experience supporting adults with learning disabilities.
I have a good understanding of child development and believe that every child is unique. I plan activities around each child’s individual needs, following the EYFS framework, with a focus on learning through play and plenty of outdoor adventures.
My aim is to provide a warm, nurturing environment where every child feels valued, confident, and supported to reach their full potential. I want all children in my care to approach each day with curiosity, excitement, and a sense of wonder about the world around them!

I keep my training up to date and currently hold the following qualifications:
• Paediatric First Aid
• Paediatric Safeguarding
• Fire Safety Awareness
• Food Hygiene
• Food Allergy & Intolerance Training
• Early Years Nutrition Matters
• SENCO Training for Childminders
• Department for Education’s Prevent Early Years Training
These qualifications help me ensure every child’s health, safety, and individual needs are fully supported while in my care.

- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
I’m happy to offer a range of payment options to suit different families - government funded hours and private childcare payments.
