A True Gem in Eve

My children (now 3 and 2) have been attending The Learning Tree Childminders with Shekel for over a year and a half now, and I can wholeheartedly say it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made as parents.

From the very beginning, Shekel has gone above and beyond every single day. As someone who has always struggled with the idea of leaving my kids in someone else’s care, I can honestly say I trust Shekel with my whole heart. That kind of peace of mind is priceless.

Before discovering The Learning Tree, my eldest attended a local nursery where I noticed concerning changes in her vocabulary and behaviour. Everyone kept telling me it was “just part of growing up” and “something I couldn’t control.” But pulling her out and enrolling her with Shekel proved that you absolutely can influence your child’s environment, and by extension, what they absorb. Since attending The Learning Tree, my daughter has blossomed into a kind, polite, thoughtful little girl, surrounded by positive role models and a loving community.

Shekel is not just a childminder. She’s a role model, a mentor, and honestly, someone I look up to as if she were a sister. She is an incredibly beautiful soul, inside and out, and the way she cares for the children is nothing short of exceptional. She spends dedicated one-on-one time with each child every day, ensuring they are learning, growing, and feeling valued. I truly think it’s never just a job for her, it’s a passion, and it shines through in everything she does.

We are updated with photos and videos, and it brings so much joy to see our little ones engaged in fun, educational activities – from physical play and creative crafts to outdoor adventures and early literacy. The meals and snacks provided are well-thought-out, and my little ones never seem too hungry afterwards.

One of the most beautiful things Shekel does is celebrate each child with love. She throws the most heart-warming birthday parties, making sure every child feels truly special and seen. It’s these thoughtful touches that make The Learning Tree feel more like a family than a childcare setting.

The community Shekel has cultivated is full of kind-hearted families and wonderful children. There is such a warm, friendly energy in the environment she has built. I genuinely hope our children stay friends for life and visit Shekel as young adults to thank her for the incredible care and love she gave them during these precious early years.
