Hi, I’m a trainee dental nurse, currently working towards my qualification, which I hope to complete by January 2026. I live in Stoke Bardolph we are new to the area and work on Mapperley Plains, and I’m looking for the right person to help with after-school care for my son, Blaize, starting September 2025, This will be blaizes first year at Rivendell .
Blaize will be going into Year 3. He’s a kind, funny, and thoughtful 7-year-old who has some sensory needs but doesn’t require any special support he’s currently on track in every subject in school. He absolutely loves football, getting creative with drawing, and being around other children. He thrives in settings where he feels a sense of belonging and would do so even more with a childminder who is warm, nurturing, and consistent.
Like many parents, I do worry about leaving him, but I’m focused on qualifying so I can eventually work fewer days and spend more time with him. In the meantime, I’m looking for someone reliable who can offer Blaize a safe and happy space after school ideally someone who understands the value of smaller groups and genuine connection, which is why I feel a childminder is a better fit for us than a busy school club every day of the week.
My Requirements
Hello! I’m currently looking for a reliable and experienced childminder starting from Late September 2025. Im seeking someone who can:
• Collect my 7-year-old son from Rivendell Flying High Academy
• Provide after-school care
• Be available Mon-Friday 3.15 collection until 5:45pm or 6:00pm at the very latest (though I usually collect earlier and would rarely need the full time)
My son will be going into Year 3 in late September 2025. He is a funny, kind, and bright little boy. He has some sensory needs, but he doesn’t require any special support just someone who is patient and understanding. He enjoys humour, routine, and relaxing after a busy school day.
This is a long-term arrangement, so I’m looking for someone who is:
• Reliable and consistent
• Confident working with school-aged children
• Able to provide a safe, calm, and nurturing environment
