About Me
We are a friendly English/ Irish married couple, based on London’s South Bank in a portered riverside apartment block (3 mins walk to Waterloo Station, 2 mins walk to River Thames).
We have an 8yr old daughter and 5yr old son at the same school.
My Requirements
Seeking: Nanny for Girl (8) and Boy (5), for between 15 - 25 hrs/wk for afternoon pick-ups and ideally some early morning drop-offs
Start Date: 9 February 2026
What we are looking for:
We’re looking for a friendly, kind and reliable nanny to help with our two children (ages 5 and 8) during the school week, keeping their established routines calm and positive. The school journey is a quiet 30 mins walk along the river or a 15 mins bus ride.
Note: This role is to take over from our wonderful nanny who has been with us 7+ years.
Core hours: between 15 - 25 hours per week during term time.
• Weekday afternoons: 3:00–6:00 p.m. - school pick-up, snacks, homework support, simple dinner prep, and play; and ideally
• Some weekday mornings: 6:45–8:45 a.m. - breakfast, school prep, and drop-off
Optional additional hours available for regular babysitting evenings, school holidays and will be flexible based on your availability. It is about finding the right person.
The nanny will be in sole charge of the children in a self-contained flat (separate kitchen, bathroom and living area) until 6pm each day.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure a smooth and positive transition from the school day into the evening routine:
o Ensure reliable school pick-up
o Support the children as they decompress from the school day - including healthy snacks, conversation, and structured but relaxed activities
o Provide gentle homework oversight (incl. piano) and encourage good habits, independence, and confidence
o Prepare simple, nutritious, hot meals for the children in fully fitted kitchen and help maintain a tidy, organised environment
o Offer brief updates at handover
Preferred Status and/ or Qualifications:
• Ofsted Registered
• Paediatric First Aid Certificate
• Cache/ NVQ Level 3
• CRB/DBS check
Fees:
£18/hr (gross)
