For the last five years I have been a Teacher and then Deputy Head at a lovely nursery called Miss Daisy's Chelsea. Before that I was a Montessori Teacher, teaching children between the ages of 1 and 6 years old.
I grew up in London and realised from a very early age that I absolutely loved children and was passionate about supporting their development and learning. Through my teaching I have seen how important the Early Years are and how these experiences can have a huge impact on a child's life.
I am a parent myself (to my 19 month year old son, Rudy) and I know how hard it is to find a reliable childcare setting that offers an inspiring child-led curriculum while also being a safe and nurturing space.
This is why I set up LittleFigs Childminding, a home from home nursery where all children who walk through our doors get the opportunity to learn in a fun, warm and stimulating environment. Your little one will learn at their own pace through creative hands-on learning experiences, so that they can reach their full potential.

My Experience
- 20 years of childcare experience of children ranging from 6 months to 12 years - this was nannying and then teaching.
- Deputy Head and Teacher at a lovely nursery called Miss Daisy's Chelsea for the past 5 years (rated OFSTED Outstanding in 2023).
- Montessori Lead Teacher in Melbourne, Australia for 3 years. This included mentoring the nursery and preschool teachers through the Montessori philosophy and coming up with creative activities in line with our Early Years Curriculum. I gained invaluable experience teaching children from many different cultures and backgrounds.
- After school tuition with many local families of my nursery for support in all areas of the Early Years Framework (EYFS) - with a huge focus on Literacy/Phonics.
- Teaching Assistant at Bertram House and Bringing Up Baby in South London.

My Qualifications
- Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy and the Early Years (0-7yrs) (Level 4)
- Anthropology Degree 2:1 (BSc Upper Class Hons)
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children, Young People and Children in the Community (RQF)
- A-Levels x3 - English Literature and Language, History, Classical Civilisation (B's)
- GCSEs x9, including x2 A's in English (A-B's)
My Availability
I will be open 4 days a week from 8am-6pm (Mon-Thurs) but I am happy to be flexible with pick up times.
I will be open all year.

My Fees
- Childminding from £11.00 per hour
I will be charging £110 a day.
This includes all meals (breakfast, lunch, tea and snacks) and all nappies, wipes and cream.
I offer the government funded hours and Tax Free Childcare
Minimum of 2 days attendance please.
My Local Schools

My almost 2 year old daughter has been attending LittleFigs since March 2025 and has been loving it!
Lauren and her assistant Emma are great - warm, engaging, approachable, and fully dedicated to looking after the little ones, supporting their learning and their emotional wellbeing. I could not have wished for a safer, more supportive environment to send my child. Lauren and Emma are very caring, imaginative and so enthusiastic about what they do. They organise incredible activities for the children, as well as take them out regularly to visit a range of playgroups and activities. Lauren's flat is is full of exciting things for the children to do, and the free flow set up between the flat and the outside space (which is amazing in itself!) works really well. My daughter is always happy to go to LittleFigs, and is also evidently happy at pick up, which is very reassuring for us as parents. Last, but not least, communication is faultless - we get diary updates and weekly observations on the app, but also a detailed handover in person at pick up time.
It really is worth visiting the setting, and the difference between LittleFigs and most other childminder settings will be evident. Thank you, Lauren and Emma, for being so amazing!
