My Experience

I have extensive experience in childminding, caring for children of various ages, from infants to school-aged children. My background as a qualified teacher has allowed me to incorporate educational activities, including phonics, into daily routines to support children's early literacy and language development. I have also worked closely with children with special educational needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. This experience has given me a deep understanding of how to provide individualised care, ensuring that each child receives the support they need to thrive. - Safeguarding and Child Protection Training: I am trained to ensure children's safety and can recognise and address any concerns.
- Paediatric First Aid Certification: I am fully equipped to handle emergency situations and provide immediate care if necessary.
- Special Educational Needs (SEN) Training: I have extensive experience working with children with autism, ADHD, and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, providing personalised care and support.
- Phonics Training: I help foster early literacy and language skills through tailored phonics sessions.
- Behaviour Management Strategies: I use positive behaviour management techniques to create a calm, structured environment that supports children's emotional regulation and social development.

My Fees

• Childminding from £7.50 per hour

I offer an hourly fee for each child, providing flexibility for parents who may need care for varying durations. This rate includes meals and snacks, ensuring that children have access to healthy options throughout the day. This structure allows parents to manage their budgets while ensuring their children receive nutritious meals in a nurturing environment.

I believe meal times are valuable opportunities for children to socialise and develop their independence, so I encourage family-style dining and engage children in simple meal preparation when appropriate. If parents have specific dietary preferences or restrictions, I am more than happy to accommodate those needs to ensure that every child feels included and cared for. This approach not only supports children’s physical health but also fosters a sense of community and belonging in my childminding setting.
