My Requirements
We’re looking for a kind, caring nanny for our 15-month-old daughter. The role is two mornings a week, 08:30–12:00 (ideally Tuesday and Thursday, but we can be flexible), with occasional evening babysitting.
We’d like someone with toddler experience, who has a calm gentle approach and is confident using a Montessori / Forest School approach, including:
- Outdoor play in all weathers
- Nature-based exploration with rich sensory experiences
- Child-led learning, following her interests
- Encouraging independence: “help me do it myself” moments in daily routines
- Practical life activities (watering plants, baking, tidying, dressing)
- Respectful guidance through modelling calm behaviour rather than instruction
- Hands-on learning with real objects and experiences
- Time and space for focus and repetition without rushing
- Arts, crafts, music and imaginative play woven in
We’re based in Shrewsbury town centre (temporarily in Condover until December) and have a very friendly cocker spaniel, so you’ll need to be comfortable with dogs.
