My Requirements

We’re looking for a kind, caring nanny for our 19 month old daughter. The role would be 3 mornings a week but could be split with another nanny if it’s the right fit so let me know if only 1 or 2 days works, 08:00/08:30–12:00 with occasional evening / weekend babysitting.

We’d like someone with toddler experience, who has a calm gentle nature. We try to follow Montessori / Forest School principles, so we would like someone with a similar approach / understanding of the principles, for example: outdoor play in all weathers & nature-focused exploration, child-led learning, encouraging independence and helping her to do it by herself, allowing time and space for focus and repetition without rushing, with an inclusion of arts, crafts, and music. Ideally you would come prepared with a couple of ideas for activities for the day so it’s not just playing with her own toys.

We’re based in Shrewsbury town centre, so you could do some activities at the house and a walk in the quarry or to the playground. There are also lots of groups like rhyme time at the library which is all an easy walk.

We have a very friendly cocker spaniel, so you’ll need to be comfortable with dogs.

Start date: Feb/ March. Would do a couple of shorter days initially for her to get comfortable and used to you.
