About Me

LIMITED SPACES FROM SEPTEMBER 2025 for ages 1-3 years.

I pride myself on providing high quality care, hands on learning activities and play, healthy balanced meals and offering parents flexibility.

I believe in providing children with a loving, caring, fun and secure setting. I take an approach to teaching children that reflects this; with love, understanding, praise, patience and play.

My curriculum includes teaching children independence from a young age and being ready for starting school. This means children are encouraged to help clean up, help prepare food, wash their hands, brush their teeth, toilet training is aided, putting on their own shoes and coats, tying laces and learning how to fasten/unfasten buttons and zips, feed themselves using cutlery and drink out of cups.

I implement activities daily that cover all 7 areas of learning - mathematics, literacy, communication and language, expressive art & design, physical development, understanding the world and personal, social & development.

Children learn yoga, sign language, how to bake and cook, plant and care for vegetables & so much more!

Reading, singing, dancing, mark making and outdoor play are incorporated into our routines daily.

We have a strong focus on hygiene and all children are taught from day one to wash hands regularly especially after toileting, before and after eating, after outdoor play and after coughs and sneezes.

I have CCTV in operation for children’s security both indoor and outdoor of the property. CCTV footage is deleted after 30 days unless it is needed for an incident or investigation. I have doors locked at all times and children will only be allowed to leave with agreed persons. Keys are hung high out of children’s reach and doors are alarmed. We have a strict no phones policy and we operate a door drop/collect policy.

Visitors during childcare hours are strictly limited to a needs must basis, visitors must sign in and wear identification and phones are strictly prohibited.

I have a purpose built play room and outdoor play space. I also have a separate quiet room/safe sleeping zone, kitchen/dining area and children’s self care station for independent handwashing and tooth brushing.

Children are provided with their own toothbrush which is sanitised daily and we encourage tooth brushing daily. I really struggled with getting my toddler to brush her teeth properly (like a lot of parents do) until I introduced the self care station and now she more than happily brushes her teeth in the mirror. We use 3 brush design toothbrushes to ensure all sides of teeth are brushed.

I offer full time and part time care for children aged 0-4 years. I am an exclusive early years provision meaning no school runs, age safe environment and activities planned specifically with early years development in mind.

Within the setting are various areas including a reading nook, self care station, calming sensory corner, outdoor play space, role play area & more.

I am qualified in the delivery of EYFS. Children are taught basic British sign language as part of our curriculum. We love reading, singing, dancing and getting lots of fresh air. We bake regularly and do lots of different arts and crafts activities. We also practice early years yoga and learn self regulation techniques from early on.

I will regularly share with you your child's progress and keep a learning diary for each child and conduct developmental plans as well as progress reports. I provide daily updates for parents so you always know what your child has been up to and that they are content in my care. Daily forms are kept detailing what your child has eaten, drank, wet/dry/soiled nappies, nap times etc.

With your permission I will take photographs of your child’s adventures to share with you and to keep in their personal learning diaries that you can access at any time. A separate, security protected mobile is used for childminding only.

Children are taken out regularly whether this is a walk to the park or through the woods, the beach, going to a local community class or play group, a visit to the farm or aquarium or one of our favourites a play area. Children also have unlimited access to our secure outdoor play space come rain or shine.

Upon enrolment children are provided with suitable outdoor attire to keep in the setting so they are always available for outings, no matter what the weather.

Breakfast is provided daily at 830am and includes a variety of healthy pancakes, toast, crumpets, cereal and porridge with a variety of toppings.

Light snacks are provided twice a day at 1030am and 230pm which include foods such as bagel and cream cheese, crackers with cheese and tomato, vegetable sticks and hummus, banana on toast, variety of fruit and yoghurt. A third snack is given to children who are with us still at 630pm.

Lunch is provided daily at 1230pm and includes a wide variety of home cooked meals and lots of vegetables.

Dinner is provided daily at 430pm and includes a wide variety of lighter meals served with salad/fresh vegetables. We provide meals following the Public Health Englands guidelines for early years. We pride ourselves on providing children with healthy, balanced foods.

You do have the option of providing a packed lunch should you prefer this. If so we kindly request that lunches brought into our setting are healthy and balanced as per our healthy eating policy.

A lighter dinner can be given, should you wish to have dinner with your child at home after you’ve collected them or have plans for going out for tea. Just let me know and I'll do my very best to accommodate your needs.

All children have their own designated age appropriate drinking bottle for water that they have access to all day. Milk is provided daily.

My Experience

I have experience with children of all ages from birth to teenage years, from all different backgrounds and a range of special educational needs.

My eldest daughter has completed all of her childcare training, SEND training, safeguarding training, basic first aid, food hygiene and will be joining me as a level 3 early years apprentice later in the year.

My middle child has meals with us all at the dining table, helps with cleaning up and enjoys helping set up activities for children. She is home educated and does online school and tutoring during the day when children are in my care, as well as a multitude of extra curricular activities scheduled around my care for children.

My mission is to provide a family orientated, safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where every child in my care can thrive emotionally, socially and academically. I am committed to fostering a sense of security, building confidence and encouraging curiosity, creativity and independence. Holistic development is at the heart of my setting.

Through individualised care, I support each child's unique needs and development. I pride myself on creating a warm and welcoming space that feels like a home from home.
