About Me
Little Warrens Den is a well-established, family-run childminding setting in Ilkeston, offering calm, small-group care for babies and young children.
Our setting is particularly well suited to babies and 2-year-olds, including children accessing funded places. We also welcome 3-4 year olds, ensuring they are supported in a way that feels calm, consistent and developmentally appropriate within a small, familiar group.
We are already busy and are now building a forward wait list for mid to late 2026, as places naturally arise.
My Experience
We have extensive experience supporting all ages, including those attending on funded hours, and understand the importance of consistency, routine and familiarity at each child’s stage of development.
Our experience includes:
• supporting children to settle into longer, predictable sessions
• building confidence, communication and independence at a developmentally appropriate pace
• caring for babies alongside toddlers without compromising either group
We work closely with families to ensure funded attendance works well for the child, not just on paper.
My Qualifications
We are registered childminders, fully insured and Ofsted registered. We also work with a registered assistant
We hold relevant early years qualifications and regularly update our training across all areas of early childhood, including safeguarding, child development and emotional wellbeing.
All adults working within the setting are appropriately trained and suitability checked.
My Availability
We are welcoming enquiries.
Our minimum attendance is 2 days per week, with sessions running 9:00am–3:00pm as a minimum.
The setting is open 8:00am–4:30pm, with additional hours outside of core sessions considered on a limited basis and charged at an out-of-hours rate.
Places are planned carefully to ensure children attending on funded hours are able to settle and benefit fully from their time with us.
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour

We offer funded places where eligible.
Fees for any additional hours outside of funded or core sessions are discussed individually, once availability and suitability have been established.
We are always happy to talk through how funded hours work alongside privately paid time during an initial enquiry.
Nappies/wipes and formula where required are to be provided in bulk by parents/carers.
