My Experience

I am an experienced childminder who has been registered and open for two years, offering a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where children feel secure and valued. As a mother to a young boy, I have both professional experience and a personal understanding of children’s early development and individual needs. I hold a background in art and photography teaching, which plays a key role in my setting by encouraging creativity, self-expression, and hands-on learning through engaging, age-appropriate activities.

I am fully committed to maintaining high standards of care and regularly update my professional training, including safeguarding, food hygiene, paediatric first aid, and ongoing updates to the EYFS framework. I strongly believe in the importance of outdoor learning and enjoy incorporating nature into everyday experiences. Time spent outdoors is valued highly in my setting, helping children develop a love and respect for the environment and the world around them. Through exploration, play, and observation, I aim to foster curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for nature while supporting each child’s learning and development in partnership with their families.

My Qualifications

I have a BA honours in photography, alongside a PGCE in art and design.
I am a qualified EYFS provider, have attended regular safeguarding training courses, as well as updated safeguarding training for Autumn 2025.
I am paediatric first aid trained, have a level two food hygiene certificate and fire safety.
