My Summary
About Me
Hello, I’m Annabel.
I live in Kilbirnie with my son and our Pomapoo dog. My home is a warm, play-based setting for children aged 0–5—where little ones are free to explore, express, and simply be themselves.
I believe in the magic of the early years—where curiosity leads the way, creativity is celebrated, and gentle routines help children feel safe and grounded. Every child’s voice matters here. Their choices are honoured, and their individuality is cherished.
But more than anything, I care deeply about families thriving together. I know how much love, hope, and trust goes into choosing care for your child. That’s why I offer more than just a service—I offer a partnership rooted in respect, empathy, and genuine connection. I’m here to support not just your child’s development, but your family’s wellbeing too.
Whether it’s through shared stories, sensory-rich play, or quiet moments of reflection, my goal is always the same: to create a space where a child and their family feel held xx
My Experience
As a mum, I bring a nurturing and thoughtful approach to childminding. I’ve personally journeyed through the early years with my own son, giving me a deep understanding of the joys and challenges families face during this precious stage.
To build on my personal experience, I completed my HNC in Childhood Practice in June 2025, equipping me with a strong foundation in child development, wellbeing, and early learning. I’ve also spent over two years working in a nursery setting, where I supported children across a range of ages and needs, gaining valuable insight into group care, routines, and play-based learning.
I am a paediatric first aider, Scotland care Inspectorate registered, DBS certified, trained in child protection, early years sleep safe and continue to develop my personal learning.
As a Certified Infant Massage Instructor and Care Inspectorate registered childminder, I offer a uniquely nurturing, sensory-rich approach to early care. My training deepens my ability to read children’s cues, provide calm reassurance, and create emotionally safe spaces where little ones feel truly seen and soothed. I support gentle routines that promote sleep, emotional regulation, and connection, while also guiding parents with warmth and clarity. This holistic, heartfelt approach apart offers families a trusted, inclusive environment where every child’s individuality is honoured.
