About Me
I am a highly professional, polite, patient, and friendly tutor who is deeply passionate about education and motivating students to reach their full potential in meeting curricular achievements. Throughout my teaching experience, I have established positive relationships with pupils and have always offered them unconditional positive regard. I have provided support to help students overcome challenges and build their self-esteem. I have guided pupils in developing self-control by addressing unacceptable behavior and encouraging them to make positive choices.
I am hardworking, caring, proactive, and sociable. I always strive to go the extra mile and am eager to have a positive impact on children's educational needs. Additionally, I have a proven track record of helping students pass their Year 6 SATs and GCSE exams, often exceeding their target grades.
My Experience
With a combined 13 years of experience in tutoring and teaching, I have worked with primary and secondary-aged pupils across various settings, including mainstream schools, independent schools, tuition centers, pupil referral units and within young people's homes. I have many engaging icebreakers and lessons designed to motivate students and raise their aspirations for learning. Lessons are carefully tailored and planned to suit each student's individual needs and interests, while also designed to support curriculum objectives and enhance academic progress.
I have supported students in reaching their academic goals by guiding them through the curriculum, and helping them develop their numeracy, literacy, and learning abilities to the highest extent possible. The subjects I specialise in include Maths, English, Art, PSHE, Food Technology, ESL, and Therapeutic/Expressive Art.
My work has involved engaging with learners from diverse backgrounds and with varying educational needs.
