Ellie
In Search Of A Wonderful Part Time Nanny
About Me
My name is Ellie, mama of two year-old little girl called Minnie and 7 month old baby boy. My husband and I are looking for someone who is warm, with experience working with babies and who will be a great fit within our family.
Initially this will be a three-month contract, Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
We live in a house with a garden (and a cat!) in Ladbroke Grove.
Thank you!
My Requirements
Part-Time Nanny (3 Days per Week)
Location: Notting Hill, London
Days: Mondays, Tuesdays & Fridays
Hours: Full days – approximately 7:00/8:00am to 6:00pm (3pm on Fridays)
About Our Family:
We are a friendly, warm family of four based in Notting Hill, with a two-year-old daughter and a seven-month-old baby boy. Both children are happy, sociable, and a joy to be around.
We are both business owners and often work from home, so we are looking for a nanny who is comfortable and confident working alongside parents in the home, and who enjoys a collaborative, respectful dynamic. Creating a positive, easygoing environment where everyone feels supported is very important to us.
The Role
This is a part-time nanny role focused primarily on caring for our baby during the day, with shared responsibility for our toddler from mid-afternoon onwards.
• The role will be mainly baby-focused, especially during the mornings and early afternoons.
• From around 3:30pm each day, care will include both children.
• During term time, the nanny will occasionally do nursery drop-off and/or pick-up for our toddler (a two-minute walk from our home).
• During school holidays and half terms, the nanny will care for both children, with support from one or both parents at times.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a nanny who is:
• Warm, attentive, and nurturing, with a calm and confident presence
• Proactive and organised, happy to plan age-appropriate activities, playdates, outings, and classes
• Passionate about child development, creative play, crafts, and getting outdoors
• Comfortable setting gentle boundaries, encouraging good manners and routines
• Punctual, reliable, and respectful, with clear and open communication
• Honest, kind, and experienced, ideally with solid experience caring for babies and toddlers
We value mutual respect and are keen to build a long-term, trusting relationship where everyone feels appreciated and supported.
Optional Additional Hours – Light Housekeeping
In addition to childcare, we would be open to hearing from candidates who may be interested in taking on some light, ad-hoc housekeeping for additional pay.
• This would be entirely optional and discussed separately.
• We already have a cleaner who comes twice a week.
• The focus would be light-touch household organisation rather than deep cleaning — for example:
• Keeping shared areas tidy and organised
• Helping maintain order across the household
• Supporting general day-to-day organisation alongside the children’s routine
We welcome applications from:
• Candidates looking for a pure nanny role, and
• Candidates who may enjoy combining childcare with some light household support for extra hours or pay
Responsibilities
• Providing loving, attentive care for both children
• Organising outings, playdates, and developmental activities
• Creative play and crafts at home
• Nursery drop-off/pick-up for our toddler when required
• Preparing healthy meals for the children, including:
• Batch cooking where helpful
• Preparing purées and meals for our baby as he progresses with weaning
• Maintaining a tidy, organised environment related to the children
Working Environment
We work from home regularly, so this role would suit someone who:
• Is confident working independently while parents are nearby
• Communicates positively and professionally
• Enjoys being part of a family team rather than working in isolation
We live in Ladbroke Grove so ideally looking for someone who lives nearby.
Is this you? We look forward to hearing from you!
