Updated!! 05/08/2025 !Quite urgent as my sister and brother are currently taking care of jaxon while i work. I'm a single part time working mother to a 3 year old boy called jaxon he is autistic currently on the waiting list with ICAN we reckon hes more low/medium autistic. My work is very flexible with change of shifts but id like to try keep to my current routine which is Monday and Fridays 10am-15:00pm I need min 12 hours a week covering max 16 hours. Currently my days off are Tuesday Wednesday thursday and Saturdays and I do drive so availabilty on settling visits is good. Please do not focus on if your available Monday and friday 10am-3pm as like iv said my work is flexible im happy to pay for settling in visits out of my own pocket. Jaxon is currently on waiting list for a few sen nursery's but I am in urgent need of a childminder due to my brother and sister only being a temp thing while I sort care and my previous childminder needing to take time off due to personal reasons.
My Requirements
Jaxin has been with an amazing childminder who normally had him with 2 other children around his age. She has helped me alot with the process of my kids autism and I have learnt alot from her. She has done a personal detailed assessment of jaxon which I will provide to help you get a better picture of jaxon and his difficulties. He is not a struggle he is however abit set in his ways but all in all he is a chilled happy content boy who likes his own space will come to you when he needs anything. He interacts well with sing songs!.
I need someone who has experience with SEN children and has small groups of children. Jaxon is very non verbal but he communicates extremely well with his wants and needs. Makes it clear when he's hungry or thirsty ect. Very easily pleased and amused he loves balls and multiple sets of things. Jaxon doesnt do well with big groups of kids and struggles with interaction he will give minimal interaction he likes his own space doesnt like being fussed over type thing. Him himself is easy to manage just count or sing if hes getting over stimulated. The issue we have is his tolerance to busy environments and groups of kids but please note he hasnt been brought up around kids so part is his autism and part is just not used to it.
