My Summary
Little Pips Childcare Are A Nurture Based Setting Embracing Nature Through Their Explorative Play.
About Me
Hi my name is Donna with over 25 years of Early Years experience comprising of Primary School and Early Years teaching, as well as being previously registered for 10 years as an Ofsted registered childminder.
I thoroughly enjoy working within the Early Years and this has continued to be my specialism throughout my carer. The natural curiosity young ones exhibit and the awe & wonder they experience is magical. The early care and development each little one needs is vital to help them become the best version of themselves they can be. To be entrusted to care for your little one is a true privilege to be involved with.
I have recently moved to Plymouth, and I have re-registered with Ofsted as a childminder to offer childcare to local families. We have spent time carefully building a new dedicated cabin and designing an outside area for your little one to enjoy and develop their skills within.
Due to the multiple apple trees within our grounds we have named our setting Little Pips Childcare. We feel this embraces our environment, and solidifies our childcare ethos as a nurture based setting. Our role is to nurture your little one in order for them to grow, developing their skills, expanding their curiosity and equipping them to thrive within their own Early Years journey.
Little Pips Childcare has a strong focus on using our outdoor environment to provoke your little ones curiosity and creativity. The settings large gardens are frequently visited by wildlife and surrounded by bird song. Within our gardens we have a variety of fruits and vegetables, enabling each Little Pip the opportunity to learn how to plant, grow and care for their produce before they're enjoyed at snack time!
The outdoor environment offers multiple opportunities of learning through play. From the large sensory kitchen corner, to the cascading water tables, your little one will be intrigued and keen to explore! Along withe the ride on vehicles, slide, swing and gross motor skill activities, the natural environment encourages many curious conversations, allowing the introduction of new words and rich language modelling.
Little Pips Childcare's newly built cabin will host your little ones daily fun and enjoyment. Each Little Pip is encouraged to care for one another and the space around them, therefore developing their own self care and social skills. We positively promote independence, confidence and self esteem through an 'I can do' or an 'I can try' approach.
We have carefully chosen our resources to embed a calming, natural theme across the setting. Each Little Pip is offered opportunities to explore and express their interests through child led play to enhance their learning and working towards their individual developmental achievements.
Nature and nurture is our key theme at Little Pips, with our days filled full of explorative play and imaginative learning. We thrive to create many happy memories as your little one enjoys the awe and wonder of their early adventures.
