My Experience

I have accumulated a wealth of experience caring for children across many generations, supporting them from infancy through early childhood. Over 38 years, i have gained strong, practical knowledge of child development, understanding how children grow emotionally, socially, physically, and intellectually. I have cared for children with a wide range of personalities, needs, and abilities, adapting my approach to suit each individual child.
My experience includes creating safe, structured, and nurturing environments where children feel secure and confident to explore and learn. I have supported key developmental milestones such as early communication, independence, social skills, and school readiness. Through daily routines, play-based learning, and consistent care, i have helped children build confidence, resilience, and positive behaviour.
I have extensive experience working closely with parents, building long-term, trusting relationships through clear communication, reliability, and mutual respect. Many families have relied on my consistency and professional judgement, often recommending my care to others or returning with younger siblings.
Across nearly four decades, i have adapted to changes in childcare practices, expectations, and regulations, continually refining my skills and staying committed to high standards of care. My experience reflects patience, dedication, flexibility, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s wellbeing and development.
